4.4.3 Setting RF Parameters
In a Master-Slave mode (multi-tier architecture) the RF parameters are only configured for the
Master VCU unit.
The VCU supports both the Lower A,B,C and Upper C LTE bands in MIMO and SISO
configurations. Each MIMO and SISO band can be individually configured in dedicated tabs.
This section describes the MIMO and the SISO configuration procedures.
To Configure the RF Parameters:
1. Select the Master VCU in the topology tree and then select the Service RF tab.
Note 1: The Type field (Read Only) corresponds to the Product Type selected in the
Module
Info
tab and shows the supported LTE 700 MHz Band (Upper C or Lower A,B,C).
Note 2: The DL CF parameter is Read Only and pre-defined for the supported 10MHz block.
In MIMO configurations, the same DL CF frequency from the Base Station is defined for
Service1 and Service2.
2. Define the BTS Connenction according to type of RF connections (simplex/duplex)
performed between the VCU and the RF Source. Default setting = duplex.
3. Define Max expected power of BTS (0-33dBm).
4. Define UL System Gain (-15 to 5dB)
Notes: Max expected Pin parameter can be obtained from your service provider. The remaining
parameters are predefined to their default values. (Service Bandwidth is set to 10MHz per
channel). Any updates of the service definition (Service Mode) are sent to all connected VAPs.
