Upon power-up, MA-860 automatically performs antenna auto-discovery. It is then required to
perform a simple provisioning procedure via a local RS232 connection to a computer (laptop)
running the MA-860 Configuration Tool application.
Once MA-860 is provisioned, it can be remotely managed via a Web access connection.
5.1 Power-up and Antenna Auto-discovery
To power-up the unit
Connect the power to the PWR connector located on the MA-860 rear panel.
Unit initialization and auto-discovery
Upon power-up, the unit performs discovery of antennas during which time the RUN LED
(located on the front panel) is constant GREEN.
This will take between one to two minutes.
After the initial discovery procedure has been completed, the RUN LED continuously flickers
green indicating
normal
operation.
Note 1: Configuration changes (adding or removing) antennas can be discovered at a later stage
can be detected remotely via the Web browser application using the auto-discovery
command.[MP11]
NOTE 2: A local connection has priority over a WEB connection. A WEB connection will not be
operational if there already is a local connection and the unit stop responding if a local
connection is initiated while a WEB session is open.
