Database terminology
The following terms will give you a better understanding of database concepts and the features
of Paradox.
Term Definition
Data The values (words or numbers) that are stored in
your database.
Record A horizontal row in a table that contains a group of
related fields of data.
Field A column of information in a table. A collection of
related fields makes up one record.
Table An arrangement of cells in rows and columns used
to store data.
