New! Skin Smoothing: Digital photographers can quickly and easily even
out the skin tone of people in their photos with the new Skin Smoothing
feature. A preview of the change lets users choose how much smoothing to
apply, so photo subjects always come across in the best light possible.
2 In the Depth of Field dialog box, choose one of the following Area of
Focus selection tools, and drag in the Before pane.
• Circular — lets you create a round selection
•Freehand — lets you create an irregularly shaped selection by
dragging around an area to create a closed shape
• Rectangular — lets you create a rectangular selection
3 Move the Blur slider to adjust the amount of blur applied to the area
outside the selection.
4 To adjust the pattern of the blurred area, click the Round Aperture
Shape or Hexagon Aperture Shape button.
5 To adjust the transition between the area in focus and the blurred
area, move the Feather slider.
