Spam protection: To protect you from junk e-mail, or spam, WordPerfect
MAIL includes SAproxy Pro, the most comprehensive anti-spam software
available today. With a five-point protection system to fight spam, SAproxy Pro
learns from stored e-mail, uses a whitelist and blacklist system to filter incoming
e-mail, uses rules to scan incoming e-mail, consults with community blacklists,
and calculates historical averages of received e-mail. You can train SAproxy Pro
to recognize which messages you consider spam and which ones you consider
legitimate. This powerful feature remains effective even as spammers change
their tactics for finding your inbox.
WordPerfect MAIL includes SAproxy Pro, which uses a five-point protection system to
help keep your inbox free of spam.
Paradox®
Paradox is included only with the Professional edition of WordPerfect Office X3.
A relational, file-based database application, Paradox lets you store and retrieve
data in a variety of ways. To help you track, organize, and compile data, this
complete desktop database solution stores information in powerful, searchable
tables. Each table can hold more than 2 GB of information. In addition, Paradox
includes Web functionality, an easy-to-use interface and a number of interactive
tools. It also lets you publish data in various file formats, such as Quattro Pro
(QPW), Microsoft Excel (XLS), Lotus 1-2-3, and dBASE® (DBF).
Enhanced! Paradox® updates since version 10: Paradox can now
connect to external databases by way of ODBC DSN, using Windows XP Service
Pack 2. Quattro Pro tables are now easily imported into Paradox, and DDE-
related operations within Paradox work more smoothly.
