New! Transitions in overlay tracks: Superimposed over a video, overlay
tracks can be additional video, still images, or color clips. Users can easily apply
transitions in overlay tracks to create sophisticated picture-in-picture and
montage effects.

New! Auto-video/audio crossfade: Users can now simply drag video clips
so that the clips overlap on the timeline, automatically creating a video
transition and audio crossfade for the duration of the overlap.
New! Resizable interface: VideoStudio now lets users resize any of the
panels within the interface according to their preference.
New! Enlarged filter and effects controls: For VideoStudio Pro X2,
dialog boxes and controls have been enlarged, so that users can apply effects
and keyframes more quickly, easily, and accurately.
New! Toggle Filter View: With a single click, users can now preview the
effects of filters on their videos. A toggle icon appears next to each filter, so
users can instantly turn the effect on or off.
New! Autoplay of transitions and filters: Users can simply click any
transition, filter, or title animation to display a preview of the effect before
applying it to a video.

To apply a transition
1 Click Effect, and choose one of the options from the Gallery drop-
down list.
2 Preview a transition by double-clicking a thumbnail.
3 Apply a transition by dragging it between two clips in the Timeline.
