To unmerge table cells
1 Select the cell that you want to unmerge.

Click Table Unmerge cells.
To split table cells, rows, or columns

Click the Table tool .
2 Select the cell, row, or column that you want to divide.
3 Perform a task from the following table.

To Do the following
Split a selection horizontally
Click Table Split into rows, and type a value in the Number of
rows box.
Split a selection vertically
Click Table Split into columns, and type a value in the Number of
columns box.

You can manipulate tables as you would other objects.
