WALL LANTERN
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Please read carefully and save these instructions, as you may need them at a
later date.
CAUTION
Turn off the main power at the circuit breaker before installing the fixture, in order
to prevent possible shock.
GENERAL
All electrical connections must be in accordance with local and National Electrical
Code (N.E.C.) standards. If you are unfamiliar with proper electrical wiring
connections obtain the services of a qualified electrician.
Remove the fixture and the mounting package from the box and make sure that
no parts are missing by referencing the illustrations on the installation
instructions.
ASSEMBLY AND INSTALLATION
1. Thread the hex nut (4) onto the nipple (5). Screw the nipple (5) into the
center hole of the mounting bracket (2). Do not tighten hex nut (4) at this
time.
2. Pull the power supply wires (7, 9, & 11) out from the outlet box (1), and
mount the mounting bracket (2) to the outlet box (1), using mounting
screws (3).
3. Attach the black supply wire (7) to the black fixture wire (8) by using a wire
nut (12). Attach the white supply wire (9) to the white fixture wire (10) by
using a wire nut (12). Connect the ground supply wire (11) to the ground
fixture wire (13) using a wire nut (12).
4. Carefully tuck all wires and wire nuts (12) into the outlet box (1). Slide the
fixture (6) over the nipple (5) flush against the wall surface. Adjust the nipple
(6) so that it protrudes about ¼ inch from the surface of the fixture (6).
5. Remove the fixture (6) and tighten the hex nut (4) against the mounting
bracket (2). Place the fixture (6) over the nipple (5) again. Thread the thumb
nut (14) onto the nipple (5) to secure the fixture (6) against the wall.
INSTALLATION IS NOW COMPLETE.
