Local and Global
Scope
There are times when you might need to change the scope of a
model library from local to global, or vice versa.
To chan

e the scope of a local model to

From the Analysis menu, select Library and Include Files.

Select the model library that you want to change.

Click Add Library* to add a global entry.

Click Delete to remove the local entry.
If you have a global model that you want to make local, use the
Add Library button instead in step 3
.

Search
Order
Two reasons why you might need to modify the search order are
to:
reduce the search time
avoid using the wrong model when there are model names
duplicated across libraries; PSpice A/D always uses the first
instance
To chan

e the order of libraries

In the Library and Include Files dialog box:

In the Library Files list, delete the library that you want
to move.

Add back the same library in the location where you
want it. (Remember that Schematics adds a new library
above the selected entry in the list.)
Example: If you have an instance
model that you now want to
make available to any desi
g
n,
then you need to chan
g
e the
local model library that contains
it to have
g
lobal scope.
