Cleco offers over 500 different nutrunners of which the majority
can be equipped with a wide variety of drive options. As a result
there are over 3000 different nutrunner combinations that make
it possible to adapt the tool exactly to the requirements of the
application.
The following points should be taken into account on tool
selection: Ergonomic factors associated with man - tool -
application, requirements on torque and speed, accessibility
of the tool and the fastener, fastener variations, skills of the
user and the compressed air supply.
The performance of the tool can be affected by the compressed
air supply. Due to the following factors the air pressure provided
to the tool may vary signifi cantly: distance of the tool from the
compressor, diameter of the supply lines, pressure drop, mani-
folds, hose lengths and diameters and fi ttings. All the performance
data stated for the tools is based on an inlet pressure of 6.2 bar
(90psig) at an appropriate fl ow rate with the tool in operation.
Clean Operation
The Cleco nutrunner series 24 and 34 are equipped with low-oil
blades. This aspect is important for assembly tasks in which
cleanliness plays an important role.
