General Camera Setup
Format memory/
Format card
Allows you to format the internal memory (only when a
memory card is not inserted) or the memory card (when a
memory card is inserted).
• All data stored in the internal memory or on the
memory card is deleted during formatting and
cannot be restored. Be sure to transfer important
images to a computer and save them before formatting.

Language Choose the language used for camera monitor display. E61
Video mode
Adjust video mode settings for connection to a television.
Select from NTSC and PAL.

Charge by
computer
When set to Auto (default setting), you can charge the
camera’s battery by connecting the camera to a computer
(provided that the computer is able to supply power).
• When charging by computer, it takes more time to
charge the battery than when using the Charging AC
Adapter EH-69P. Additionally, when charging by
computer and transferring images to the computer
simultaneously, it takes more time to charge the battery.

Blink warning
Immediately after taking a picture using face detection
(A64) (except when using smart portrait mode), if the
camera detects a subject with closed eyes, the camera
displays the message Did someone blink?, allowing you
to check the image. The default setting is Off.

Eye-Fi upload
Set whether or not to enable the function for sending
images to a computer using a commercially available Eye-
Fi card. The default setting is Disable.

Reset all
Allows you to reset the camera’s settings to their default
values.
Certain settings such as Time zone and date and
Language are not reset.
