Don't have line of sight between your end points? Just position a centre access point with line of sight to
each end and this will repeat any received data to the other end. It is an IEEE 802.11g, high data rate,
standard compatible access point. It supports an IEEE 802.3 10BaseT and 100BaseTX port for easy
interfacing to an Ethernet backbone and contains a direct console port for local configuration. HTML
for Web management is also supported. The product uses Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum Technology
for immunity to interference. The Access Point is a key component of a wireless network, in that it
connects the wireless stations to the distribution system in a network.
This model supports Infrastucture, Point to Point Bridging and Point to Multi Point Bridging with
Repeat configurations. Either WEP-64, WEP-128 (Wired Equivalent Privacy) or no encryption may be
selected in the configuration. Theoretically 128 users can connect to the access point, but since they all
share the 11Mbps bandwidth, a practical limit may be 6 to 10 users depending on usage.
