Ford 7.3 Liter Evolution

1. To install the EGT probe, first determine where you will drill the hole. The

section of the exhaust manifold that requires tapping is located on the driver’s

side just above the driveline. (See picture on following page for suggested

location. This photo shows the underside of the truck looking up.)

TIP: One effective way to avoid metal fragment contamination in your engine is to place

grease in the threads of your drill bit/tap tool when drilling/tapping the hole in your

manifold.
