2-Button Keypad: A Control4 Keypad that uses two buttons to control a light.
3-Button Keypad: A Control4 Keypad that uses three buttons to control a light or create a Lighting
Scene.
4Sight: An Internet service that provides a connection to the Control4 system any time and from any
place worldwide.
4Sight Web Navigator: The navigator used with 4Sight for remote access to a Control4 system.
6-Button Keypad: A Control4 Keypad that uses six buttons to control a light, create Lighting Scenes,
or control other devices.
A
AAC: Advanced Audio Coding. A successor MP3 format that serves as a standard lossy compression
and encoding scheme for digital audio with supposedly better sound quality.
Account Profile: Where the Control4 system owner's account information is stored.
agent: In Control4 programming, agents provide the ability to perform complex programming by using
functional modules. There are several types of agents, for example, Announcements, Email
Notification, Advanced Lighting Scenes, and so on.
Anywhere Access: A feature of 4Sight that lets you connect to your Control4 system from a remote
location worldwide using a variety of mobile device types, tablets, or the web.

Bookmark: A shortcut that can be created to organize and access pages quickly. Bookmarks are
stored in the Star icon on the touch screens, MyHome apps, or on-screen Navigators.

Composer: Control4 software used to design and define the project in a home-automation system.
contact: Contacts are generally used to monitor the status of something (door, window, water sensor,
etc.) and can be hooked up through a security panel or directly using a Control4 Controller or
Contact/Relay Extender. Contacts connected to a Control4 Controller or Contact/Relay Extender can
be configured either as NC (normally closed) or NO (normally open).
Control4 dealer: The person who owns the business that sells and distributes Control4 products.
Control4 Installer: The person who installs and configures the Control4 system and devices.
Control4 system: A home-automation system designed and developed by Control4.
Controller: The central device developed at Control4 that makes home automation possible.
Custom Home pages: Unique pages that can be created by the owner of the Navigator.
Customer.control4.com: The website where a customer account is kept. Customers can log in and
manage their accounts from this web page.
