Control4 Operating System Release Notes 1. Introduction This latest Control4® Operating System Release 2.5.2 (known as OS 2.5.2) is a smaller release that includes support for the Media Distribution products (Audio Matrix Switch, 8x8 HDMI Matrix Switch, 100 Series Power Amplifiers) and minor bug fixes. The intent of this release is to support these new audio and video hardware components. It should also be used for any new installation. 1.1 New Hardware with OS 2.5.2 1.1.

The Control4 100 Series Power Amplifiers (4-Zone and 8-Zone Power Amplifiers) (C4AMP104 and C4-AMP108) deliver high-quality audio to four (4) or eight (8) stereo zones. Corrected a problem where 0-10V Dimmers (C4-DIN-8TV) weren’t able to be added to an engraving order. Notifications, Limitations, Warnings, and Workarounds 2.1 OS 2.5.2 2.2 Although the Audio Matrix Switch (C4-16ZAMSV3-B) and HDMI Switch drivers were shipped in OS 2.5.1 as part of Control4 beta testing, significant changes have been made to these drivers after OS 2.5.1. Therefore, it is required that you use the drivers in OS 2.5.2 for the Audio Matrix Switch and HDMI Switch.

Upgrading to OS 2.5.2 Follow the recommendations in this section if you have an older system that uses Embernet, and you want to upgrade that system to ZigBee Pro with the latest release. 3.1 Update Recommendations for Existing Systems IMPORTANT! (1) The OS 2.5.2 release utilizes ZigBee Pro for ZigBee RF communications. Controllers and ZigBee firmware devices upgraded to OS 2.1 or later cannot be downgraded to Release 1.7.4 or prior versions.
Control4 Operating System Release Notes 3.1.1 ZigBee Pro Control4 has been utilizing ZigBee Pro for ZigBee RF communications since the release of OS 1.8 in August 2009. If you are updating a customer from version 1.7.4 or prior, they will have ZigBee devices running the older ZigBee protocol.
