–Turn the key one time only to position Þ page 55,
fig. 33 to unlock the driver’s door.
To unlock all doors and the rear lid
–Turn the key two times to position Þ page 55, fig. 33
to unlock the vehicle
To lock the vehicle
– Close all windows and doors properly.
– Turn the key in the lock of the driver’s door to the lock
position Þ in “General description” on page 52.
When you unlock your vehicle:
• The anti-theft alarm system is deactivated briefly.
• The vehicle interior lights illuminate for approximately 30
seconds.
When you lock the vehicle:
• All doors and the rear lid are locked (the locking knobs in all
doors will lower).
• The anti-theft alarm system is activated.
• The vehicle interior lights turn off.
Convenience close/open feature
You can close or open the windows and the power top
from outside when you lock or unlock your c ar with the
key.
Closing windows
– Insert the key into the lock of the driver’s door.
– Make sure that the windows are not blocked Þ .
– Turn and hold the key in the lock position Þ fig. 34
until the windows are completely closed.
Opening windows
–Press button
8 on the key twice to unlock the car.
– Insert the key into the lock of the driver’s door.
– Turn and hold the key in the open position .
