Using C Camera Mode, N Continuous Shooting Mode and M Movie Mode

The color of a subject varies depending on the light source used. This applies particularly to 
white. White balance is the process of ensuring that a white object actually appears white 
under a given light source.
• This setting reverts to the default (AUTO) when the camera is switched off. To retain the 
setting, set Mode Lock (
 p.6-7) to ON.

Determining the White Balance
1 Switch the camera on and press

 to display the menu icons.

monitor.
• Press the MENU button K to clear the menu icons and make picture 
taking easier.
Automatic Automatically sets the white balance to 
suit the ambient conditions. (default)
Daylight
Specifies the light source.
Incandescent
Cloudy
Fluorescent
Preset Uses the white balance specified in 
SET DETAILS. This value must be set 
beforehand. ( p.4-16)
