Operation
a) Installation and inserting the batteries
• Positiontheaudiorecordingmoduleinasuitablelocation.Ensurethatthe
circuitboardisnotdamagedandthattherecanbenoshortcircuits.
• InsertfourAAAbatterieswithcorrectpolarityintothebatterycompartment
(observeplus/+andminus/-).
 Ifthebatteryvoltageislessthan4.5V,thegreenLED(D2)will
ashonthecircuitboard.Ifso,changethebatteries.
 Recordingssavedtothememorywillnotbedeletedwhenthe
batteriesareremoved.
b) Operation
Recording
• Pointthemicrophoneatthesoundsource.
• Holddowntheredandthenoneofthewhitebuttonsforthelengthoftime
thatyouwanttorecord.TheredLEDwillturnonandyouwillhearabeep.
Releasetheredbuttontoendtherecording.
• Themaximumrecordingtimeforeachmemoryslotis60seconds.The
recordingwillendautomaticallyifthistimeisexceeded.Youwillheartwo
beepsandtheredLEDwillturnoff.
Playback
• Brieypressoneofthewhitebuttons.PlaybackwillstartandtheredLED
willash.
• Playback willend automatically (theplayback duration dependson the
lengthofthesavedrecording).Toendtheplaybackmanually,brieypress
thewhitebutton.
Deleting recordings
• Todeleteexistingrecordings,pressthebluebutton.TheredLEDwillashvetimes,andalldatainthe
modulewillbedeleted.
Disposal
a) Product
 Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the household
waste.Attheendofitsservicelife,disposeoftheproductaccordingtotherelevantstatutory
regulations.
 Removeanyinsertedbatteriesanddisposeofthemseparatelyfromtheproduct.
b) Batteries
 You astheend userarerequired by law(Battery Ordinance) toreturnall usedbatteries.
Disposingoftheminthehouseholdwasteisprohibited.
 Batteriesthat contain hazardoussubstancesare labelledwiththis symbol toindicate that
disposalinthedomesticwasteisforbidden.Thedesignationsfortheheavymetalsinvolved
are:Cd=Cadmium,Hg=Mercury,Pb=Lead(nameonbatteries,e.g.belowthetrashiconon
theleft).
Usedbatteriescanbereturnedtocollectionpointsinyourmunicipality,ourstoresorwhereverbatteries
aresold.
Youthusfullyourstatutoryobligationsandcontributetotheprotectionoftheenvironment.

Thisaudiorecordingmodule is designedtorecordaudiosignalssuch as voiceorsoundby5sections
(60secondseach)forupto300seconds.Therecordedsoundcanbeplayedbackviaaspeaker.Soundis
recordedwithamicrophoneandsaveddigitallyonamicrochip.Fivedifferentmemoryslotsareavailable.
Datawillnotbedeletedwhenthedeviceisdisconnectedfromthepowersupply.Themodulecanbeusedas
anindividualdeviceorinstalledinotherproducts,suchasinformationboards.
Itisintendedforindooruseonly.Donotuseitoutdoors.Contactwithmoisture,e.g.inbathrooms,mustbe
avoidedunderallcircumstances.
Forsafetyandapprovalpurposes,youmustnotrebuildand/ormodifythisproduct.Ifyouusetheproduct
forpurposesotherthanthosedescribedabove,theproductmaybedamaged.Inaddition,improperusecan
causehazardssuchasshortcircuiting,re,electricshocketc.Readtheinstructionscarefullyandkeepthem.

a) General information
• Thedeviceisnotatoy.Keepitoutofthereachofchildrenandpets.
• Donotleavepackagingmateriallyingaroundcarelessly.Thismaybecomedangerousplaying
materialforchildren.
• Protecttheproductfromextremetemperatures,directsunlight,strongjolts,highhumidity,
moisture,ammablegases,vapoursandsolvents.
• Donotplacetheproductunderanymechanicalstress.
• Ifitisnolongerpossibletooperatetheproductsafely,takeitoutofoperationandprotectit
fromanyaccidentaluse.Safeoperationcannolongerbeguaranteediftheproduct:
- isvisiblydamaged,
- isnolongerworkingproperly,
- hasbeenstoredforextendedperiodsinpoorambientconditionsor
- hasbeensubjectedtoanyserioustransport-relatedstresses.
• Pleasehandletheproductcarefully.Jolts,impactsorafallevenfromalowheightcandamage
theproduct.
• Avoidelectrostaticchargesthatmaycauseinternaldamageandthenormalfunctioningof
thedevice.

b) Batteries
• Correctpolaritymustbeobservedwhileinsertingthebatteries.
• Batteriesshouldberemovedfrom the device ifitisnotusedforalongperiodof time to
avoiddamagethroughleaking.Leakingordamagedbatteriesmightcauseacidburnswhen
incontactwithskin,thereforeusesuitableprotectiveglovestohandlecorruptedbatteries.
• Batteriesmustbekeptoutofreachofchildren.Donotleavebatterieslyingaround,asthere
isariskthatchildrenorpetsmayswallowthem.
• Allbatteriesshouldbereplacedatthesametime.Mixingoldandnewbatteriesinthedevice
canleadtobatteryleakageanddevicedamage.
• Batteriesmust not bedismantled,short-circuited or thrownintore. Never rechargenon-
rechargeablebatteries.Thereisariskofexplosion!
