Caution!
Integrated circuits are very sensitive to incorrect polarity! For this reason, pay
attention to the corresponding marking on the ICs (notch or point).
IC 1 = ATiny13 (programmed micro-controller)
1.15 Final check
Before starting-up, check the printed circuit board once again that all the
components have been inserted properly and with the correct polarity. Check on
the soldering side (the side with the conducting pathways), whether the
conducting pathways have been bridged by the remains of the soldering tin,
which can lead to short-circuits and to a destruction of the components.
Further, it must be checked whether the cut wire-ends are lying on or below the
printed circuit board, which can also lead to short-circuits.
2. Construction stage
Connection/start-up
2.1 After the components have been placed on the printed circuit board and the
board has been checked for possible faults (cold solder joints, solder straps,
etc.), a first functional test can be conducted. Proceed with extreme caution,
since this circuit is operated at the 230 V mains. Parts of the circuit are
connected galvanically (directly) with the mains. Touching the live parts can be
fatal to life. The start-up can be done after the circuit has been isolated and
integrated in a casing.
