• Create a copy of the pre-installed desktop icon
IDLE . Proceed as follows:
• Right-click the icon IDLE on the desktop using your mouse and select Copy in the shortcut menu.

Then right-click on the desktop with your mouse and select Paste in the shortcut menu. A message appears
when you attempt to create a copy that a desktop shortcut with the same name already exists.
Rename the copy here from
idle.desktop to idle_gpio.desktop . Basically, the icon on the desktop will not be
affected. The name shown is still
IDLE .
