4.7 De-soldering Lateral Wire Bridges
De-soldering must be practised. Again, the soldering iron must be heated to operating
temperature. Start with the wire bridges soldered to the lateral strip grids in exercise 4.
Clamp the PCB into the electronics clamp. Heat the connection to be removed by heating
it with the soldering tip. At the same time, pull slightly on the wire to be removed with the
other hand. Once the solder liquefies, you can remove it from the PCB. This works best
with a flat or round electronics pliers.
