Remote Operation and Extended Analysis
There are many ways to connect to your MSO/DPO50 00 Series
oscilloscope to conduct extended analysis. The rst makes use of the
Windows R emote Desktop capability con nect directly to your oscilloscope
and operate the user interface re motely through the built-in Remote
Desktop. A seco
nd way to connect is through Tektronix OpenChoice
®
software which make s use of the fast embedde d bus, transferring
waveform data directly from acquisition to analysis applications on
the W ind ows desktop at much faster speeds than conventional GPIB
transfers. Indu stry-standard protocols, such as TekVISA™ interface
and ActiveX con trols are included for using and enhancing Windows
applications
for data analysis and documentation. IVI-COM instrument
drivers are included to enable easy communication with the oscilloscope
using GPIB, serial data, and LAN connections f rom programs running on
the instrument or an external PC. Or, use the Software Developer's Kit
(SDK) to help create custom so ftware to automate multistep processes in
waveform collection and analysis with Visual BASIC, C, C++, MATLAB,
LabVIEW, La b
Windows/CVI, and other common Application Development
Environments (ADE). Microsoft
®
Excel and Word toolbars are included to
simplify data capture and transfer directly to these programs running on the
Windows desktop. A third way to connect to your oscilloscope is through
NI LabVIEW SignalExpress Tektronix E dition, enabling you to instantly
acquire, generate, analyze, compare, im port, and save measurement data
and signals u
sing an intuitive drag-an d-drop user interface that does not
require any programming.
