RECOMMENDATIONSFORAREALTIMEDATAACQUISITIONSYSTEM
Below are some points of careful consideration whenever running a computer system with real-time
data acquisition requirements.
There are certain applications that may interfere with the real-time performance of the M300 data
acquisition system. You must avoid running these applications when the M300 system is running in
acquisition mode.
As a general rule, the user should not be running any other applications unless it absolutely necessary while
the M300 is running in acquisition mode.
Do not run the ‘Dosfsys’ or ‘Fatfsys’ applications while the M300 is running in acquisition mode.
Do not enable or run the screen saver while the M300 is running in acquisition mode.
IRQ, DMA and Address conflicts will prevent the M300 from operating properly. The problems caused by
IRQ, DMA and Address conflicts can be at the board level or at the system level depending on the
particular situation.
