LOGIN
In the QNX 4 system there are users assigned to the system. Each user has a login name and
password. To login into the QNX system:
1. Enter you username at the login prompt.
2. Enter you password at the password prompt.
WARNING:IfyouaregoingtoruntheM300duringthissession,youshouldNOTloginasroot/superuser.
Rather,youshouldsetupauseraccount(ifnotalreadydoneso)withreasonableaccessrightsandprivileges.
Note: Ifyouenteranincorrectornonexistentusername/password,forsecu rityreasons,QNXwillreturnto
theloginpromptwithoutprovidingnotificationoftheerror.
LOGOUT
TologoutfromtheQNXsystem
1. Type exit or logout at the QNX 4 command prompt.

ph at the QNX 4 command prompt (first you must login).
Note: Thesyst em can beconfiguredtostartPhotonautomaticallyafterbootupas opposedto the
traditionalloginthroughtheQNX4shell.Ifyouwishtohavethis,justcontactSEAforhelpongettingitdone.

The QNX Photon GUI (Graphical User Interface) has a similar interface much like any GUI you
might be familiar with already, with the exception that it is designed for a real-time operating system.
