I. Product Information
A. Product Name: Congoleum ArmorCore LC resilient flooring with fibrous
felt inner layer and dense flexible vinyl composite backing.
B. Description and Ingredient Information: These sheet products are intended for use
in residential environments. They are produced in a variety of designs, colors and
surface finishes.
C. These products represent no known formaldehyde hazard.
II. Miscellaneous Information
A. Each of these products is classified as an “article” according to Title 29 of the Code
of Federal Regulations OSHA Hazard Comm. Standard 1910.1200(c). Congoleum
products are formulated to pass ASTM Specification F-1303. Each product is
manufactured to Congoleum Finished Material Specifications for that product
classification. They are formulated to pass standard flammability tests.
B. Removal of existing, installed resilient floor covering may result in exposure to
asbestos materials.
The Resilient Floor Covering Institute warns: Do not sand, dry sweep, dry scrape,
drill, saw, bead blast, or mechanically chip or pulverize existing resilient flooring,
backing, lining felt, asphaltic “cutback” adhesive or other adhesive. These
products may contain asbestos fibers and/or crystalline silica. Avoid creating
dust. Inhalation of such dust is a cancer and respiratory tract hazard. Smoking by
individuals exposed to asbestos fibers greatly increases the risk of serious bodily
harm.
This information applies strictly to Congoleum products; other manufacturers
should be contacted for information on their products.
This Material Information Sheet is provided in lieu of a Material safety Data sheet. An MSDS is
not required for “articles” as defined by the OSHA Standard 1910.1200(c).
