PCI Express Lane One PCI Express Lane is a set of 4 signals that contains one differential line for
transmitter and one differential line for receiver. Clocking information is embedded into the
data stream.
x1, x2, x4, x16 x1 refers to one PCI Express Lane of basic bandwidth; x2 to a collection of two PCI Express
Lanes; etc. Also referred to as x1, x2, x4 or x16 link.
