Concord Camera Corp. (“Concord”) (NASDAQ:LENS) is a leading designer, developer, and
manufacturer of high quality, popularly priced, easy-to-use digital, single use, traditional 35mm
and loyalty cameras. Established in 1984, Concord is the world’s largest producer of single use
cameras for private label, corporate premium and original equipment manufacturers and since
2000, Concord has rapidly gained market share in the digital camera sector.
According to IDC, Concord was ranked number 1 for number of units shipped of simple
VGA digital cameras and number 8 for point & shoot digital cameras in 2002 in the United
States, exceeding rankings for Minolta, Casio and others. Concord has a global presence with
offices in Europe and Asia, including a 600,000 sq. foot manufacturing facility in China.
Concord’s products are available in more than 50,000 outlets in the United States, Western
Europe, Eastern Europe, Latin America, Asia and Australia with cameras sold at world-wide
retailers such as Wal-Mart, Walgreens, Target, CVS, CompUSA, Eckerd, Rite Aid, Ritz Camera,
Aldi, Argos, Boots, Carrefour, Family Dollar, Dollar General, and Metro.
Concord achieved record sales in fiscal year 2003 of $189.8 million, a 47% increase over the
prior year. Leading the way in digital camera technology, Concord introduced one of the first
Bluetooth capable digital cameras and one of the first 3 Megapixel CMOS sensor digital
cameras.
Design and Manufacturing Services (DMS) customers (formerly referred to as OEM customers)
