OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1.Removethekettlefromthebaseandllitwithcoldwater.Donotexceed
the maximum level (Fig. 1)! If the water level in the kettle does not
reach the recommended minimum, the kettle will overheat and turn off
prematurely.
Note:Makesurethatthelidisclosedproperly.Thekettlecannotturno
automaticallyifthisisnotthecase.
2. Return the kettle to the base. The electric contacts will be connected
automatically.Thedesignofthecentreconnectorallowsyoutoturn the
kettle 360°.Thekettlecanbeputonthebasefromanyside.
3. Connect the base to the mains.
4.Turnthekettleonbypushingtheswitch.
 Operationissignalledbytheoperatinglight.Thekettlelidshouldbeclosed
properlywhenheatingwater.
5. After the boiling point has been reached, the kettle will turn o
automatically, andtheoperatinglightwillgoout.Waterheatingcanbe
terminatedprematurelybymovingtheswitchtotheoposition.
6.Removethekettlefromthebaseandusethewater.
7. If you want to reheat the water you have just nished boiling, wait
approximatelyfor30secondsbeforereactivatingtheswitch.
8.Anyimpuritiesarecaughtbythelterwhilepouring.
Note:Ifafewdropsofwaterappearatthebaseafteruse,thisisnotadefect.Itis
asmallamountofcondensedsteam,whichdeactivatesthekettlethermostat.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
WARNING!
Beforecleaningtheunit,alwaysdisconnectthepowercordfromthewalloutlet!
Priortohandling,makesuretheunithascooleddown!
Thesurfaceoftheunitmayonlybecleanedusingawetcloth.Donotuseanydetergentsorhardobjects,asthey
maydamagetheunit’ssurface!
Never clean the unit under running water, do not rinse it, and do not submerge it in water!
REMOVING LIMESCALE
Impurities from waterbuild up during normal use.These sediments can be removedfromthe kettle perfectly
usingpreparationsdesignedforremovinglimescale(observetheproducer’sinstructions)orusingthefollowing
procedure:
1.Pourthreecupsofvinegarintothekettle,andllitwithwater.Leavethesolutioninthekettleovernight.Do not
boil!
2.Pouroutthecontents,andcleantheremainingsedimentusingawetcloth.Fillthekettlewithcleanwater,boil
itandpouritoutagain.Repeattheprocedure.Thekettleisthenreadyforoperation.
CAUTION
Priortorstuse,werecommendboilingthemaximumvolumeofwaterinthekettleatleast3times,thenpouringit
out.Thekettleisthenreadyforoperation.
The kettle may only be used with the supplied base.
