Conair will repair or replace (at our option) your unit free
of charge for 60 months from the date of purchase if the
appliance is defective in workmanship or materials.
To obtain service under this warranty, return the defective
product to the service center listed below that is nearest you,
together with your purchase receipt and $3.00 for postage
and handling. California residents need only provide proof of
purchase and should call 1-800-366-0937 for shipping in-
structions. In the absence of a purchase receipt, the warranty
period shall be 60 months from the date of manufacture.

3. Begin defining your beard’s shape under
your chin and work upward on each side
of your face toward your ears. Then define
the upper outline of your beard across your
cheeks, past your sideburns, and toward your
hairline.
NOW YOU'RE READY TO TRIM
YOUR BEARD
1. Your trimmer includes an accessary comb
that adjusts to five positions so you can have
a beard length from 1/8" (shortest) to 5/8"
(longest).
2. To use the 5-position comb, slide the unit
over the trimmer blades and snap it down
into position. At first, until you become familiar
with the adjustments, use the longest trim
setting (5/8"). (You can always go back and
make your beard a little shorter.)
3. Begin trimming your
beard using smooth,
even strokes. Start with
your sideburns and work
downward toward your
chin. (Never attempt to trim against the natu-
ral growth of your beard because the hair will
be cut too short.)
4. If you decide you want a closer trim, you
can now adjust the 5-position comb attach-
ment to a shorter setting (such as 1/2" or
3/8") and go over your beard again until you
achieve the desired length.
BLENDING THE JAWLINE
1. The Three Jawline Attachments will help
you to achieve a neat, finished trim under your
chin. To use one of the attachments, press it
down over the trimmer blades until it clicks
into position.
2. Hold the trim-
mer in an upright
position and begin
trimming under your jawline, using short, even
strokes.
3. After your beard is blended, turn off the
trimmer and remove the attachment by
gently pulling up on tab.
TO TRIM YOUR MUSTACHE
1. For best results, start with a clean, slightly
damp mustache.
2. Comb through your mustache in the
direction it grows.
3. Place the 5-position
comb over the trimmer
blades and snap it into
position. It is a good idea to
start with the longest trim setting adjustment.
(You can always go back and cut your mus-
tache more closely with a shorter setting.)

BLADE CARE
Because the trimmer blades are precision
made for a very special use, they should
always be handled with care. Each time you
finish using the trimmer, take the cleaning
brush provided and brush away any loose hair
that has collected in the blades. Then store
the trimmer in its storage base to protect the
blades until the next use. Be especially care-
ful when changing or adjusting blades. When
you have your trimmer serviced, be sure that
both blades are sharpened or replaced at the
same time. To promote the long life of the
appliance, use your trimmer only for the pur-
pose intended by the manufacturer – to trim
your beard and mustache.
REMOVING BLADE SET
This trimmer comes with a detachable blade
set; which makes maintenance and replace-
ment easy.
To remove the blade set:
• Make sure the trimmer is in the OFF position
• With the power switch facing you, press the
blade on the teeth and in direction away
from you until they pop out of the housing
To replace the blade set:
• Make sure the taper control is set to the
longest #1 position.
• Looking at the trimmer from above you will
see a notch at the back of the trimmer.
• There is a tab on the blade set on the
bottom, opposite the blades
Position that tab so that it fits into the notch
inside the trimmer head
Push the blade set down onto the trimmer
head until it snaps into place.
THREE POSITION TAPER CONTROL:
The Conair® trimmer taper control switch is
positioned at the back of the unit. You can
hold the trimmer in your hand and adjust the
switch as needed. The taper control elimi-
nates the need in some situations for an
attachment comb because it lets you gradu-
ally adjust the closeness of the cut. For clos-
est cut and shortest hair, push switch all the
way to level #3. To increase the cutting length,
slowly push control down to level #2 or #1 for
longer cut. Note that too much clipped hair on
the clipper can slow down its operation. To
remove it without removing the blades simply
use the enclosed cleaning brush and gently
sweep away the clipped hair from cutting
surfaces. The taper control has no function
when using the nose and ear attachment.
GROWING A BEARD AND MUSTACHE
There are three key factors that will deter-
mine which beard or mustache style is best
for you:
1. The shape and dimensions of your face.
2. The natural growth of your beard/
mustache.
3. The thickness of your beard/mustache. If
you are unsure about the type of beard or
mustache that would most suit your face,
speak with a professional hair stylist and ask
for an opinion on what style would be best.
Once your beard or mustache has been styled,
it is essential that you maintain its appear-
ance. To do this, use your trimmer to trim your
beard/mustache weekly. For the best trim-
ming results, your beard should be slightly
damp (NOT WET) when using your trimmer.
This will prevent the trimmer from removing
more hair than desired.

GETTING STARTED:

1. It is always best to begin
with a clean, slightly damp
beard.
2. After you have combed
through your beard in the
direction it grows naturally, you will want to
outline the desired shape, beginning under
your jawline.

4. After your mustache
has been trimmed to the
desired length, remove
the 5-position comb
and, using the blades
only, define the outline of the bottom of
your mustache.
USING THE NOSE AND
EAR TRIMMER ATTACHMENT
1. Make sure the trimmer on/off switch is in
the “off” position
2. Detach normal trimming blade (see
“Removing Blade Set” instructions) Similar
to attaching the normal trimming blade, look-
ing at the trimmer from above you will see a
notch at the back of the trimmer.
3. Fit the tab on the back of the nose trimmer
into the notch inside the trimmer head
4. Push the nose trimmer towards the front of
the trimmer until it snaps into place
5. Turn the on/off switch to the “on” position
6. Gently use the trimmer to trim away long
nose hairs and ear hairs being very careful
not to insert the trimmer too far into the ear or
nose. The trimmer should go no farther than
the inside edge of your nose or ear.
7. While detaching the nose/ear attachment,
make sure the power switch is facing you and
press the attachment away from you.

EL RECORTE
1. Su cortadora incluye un peine accesorio
(o guía) de 5 posiciones para uso con la
cuchilla para la barba de 30mm, y que
corta el pelo desde 2mm hasta 10mm.
2. Instale el peine accesorio encima de la
cuchilla para la barba. Le recomendamos
que utilice la posición más larga hasta
acostumbrarse a lo largo del recorte (siem-
pre podrá volver a acortar la barba).

Le recomendamos que utilice la posición

4. Empiece a cortar su barba con movimientos
parejos y suaves, desde las patillas hasta
la quijada. Nunca corte en la dirección
opuesta a la del crecimiento natural del
pelo. El recorte resultaría demasiado corto.
5. Si desea un recorte aún más corto, escoja
un largo de recorte más corto, como 2mm
o 4mm, y siga acortando su barba hasta
conseguir el tamaño deseado.

LIMPIAR LAS CUCHILLAS
Las cuchillas de su aparato fueron diseña

das con precisión para un uso específico, y
deberían recibir un cuidado muy especial.
Limpie las cuchillas después de cada uso con
el cepillo de limpieza provisto, luego regrese
el aparato en la base de almacenamiento.
Tenga cuidado cuando sea necesario cambiar

CAMBIAR EL JUEGO DE CUCHILLAS

BOTÓN DE AJUSTE DEL RECORTE CON
3 POSICIONES
Su cortadora está dotada de un botón de
ajuste de lo largo del recorte, ubicado atrás
del aparato, lo cual le deja controlar lo largo
del cortado a medida que corta el cabello. El
botón de ajuste del recorte le permite cortar el
cabello más corto o más largo, sin necesidad
de usar un peine accesorio. Para el corte más
corto, empuje el botón hacia arriba, hasta el
nivel 3. Para un corte más largo, empuje el
botón lentamente hacia abajo, hasta el nivel
2 o 1. Su cortadora puede perder velocidad
si recortes de cabello estén trabados en las
cuchillas. Para limpiar las cuchillas sin tener
que removerlas, use el cepillo de limpieza
provisto. El botón de ajuste del recorte no
funciona con el accesorio para el pelo de la
nariz y de los oídos.
BARBAS Y BIGOTES
El tipo de barba o de bigote que más con-
viene a su rostro depende de:
1. La forma y el tamaño de su rostro
2. La forma del crecimiento natural de su
barba o de su bigote
3. El espesor de su barba o de su bigote
Si no está seguro del tipo de barba o big-
ote que le conviene, busque el consejo de
un estilista profesional. Después de darle
forma a su barba o a su bigote, tendrá que
mantener su aspecto, usando la cortadora
una vez por semana.
Para lograr resultados óptimos, humedezca
ligeramente (NO LA MOJE) su barba o su
bigote antes del recorte. Esto logrará un
cortado más preciso.

EL CONTORNEO
1. Se le hará más fácil el
contorneo y el recorte si
su barba está limpia y
ligeramente humedecida.
2. Peine su barba en la
dirección del crecimiento natural del pelo
antes de empezar a darle forma.
3. Déle forma a su barba empezando por
debajo de la quijada y subiendo hacia la oreja
por cada lado del rostro. Siga dando forma al
área de la mejilla, a las patillas y al nacimiento
del pelo.
CORTAR EL PELO DE LA NARIZ Y
DE LOS OÍDOS
1. Asegúrese que el aparato esté apagado
(“OFF”).
2. Saque las cuchillas (véase la sección
“Cambiar el juego de cuchillas”). Si observa
el aparato desde arriba, verá una hendidura
en la parte posterior.
3. Hay una lengüeta atrás del accesorio para
el pelo de la nariz y las orejas. Coloque la
lengüeta en la hendidura.
4. Oprima el accesorio para el pelo de la nariz
y de los oídos hacia adelante hasta que caiga
en posición.
5. Encienda el aparato (“ON”).
6. Corte el pelo de la nariz o de los oídos
suavemente, teniendo cuidado de no intro-
ducir mucho el aparato en el orifico nasal o en
el canal del oído. No lo introduzca más allá del
borde de la nariz o del oído.
7. Para remover el accesorio para el pelo de
la nariz y de los oídos, coja la cortadora con
el botón de encendido/apagado frente suyo y
empuje el accesorio en la dirección opuesta.
