NOTE:
Never pull on the clipper cord. Never
twist or wrap the cord around the
clipper. To store your clipper, lay it flat
with the cord coiled up, then place in
cylinder.
If clipper stops cutting, check to see if
there is a clump of hair lodged between
the blades. If that is the problem, unplug
the clipper and then loosen the blades to
remove the hair.
If the clipper stops cutting but does not
stop running, you will need to check the
blades. For new blades, send check or
money order for $6.50 which includes
postage and handling to:

TO OPERATE TRIMMER
(Only in model HCT426)
1. To insert battery, remove compartment
cover by turning bottom piece of trimmer
to the left, then pulling straight down.
Insert one AA alkaline battery, positive
end up as indicated in Fig. 1. (Alkaline
batteries will ensure the best perform-
ance and longest life for your appliance.)
If you are not going to use the unit for a
long period of time, or if the battery is
dead, remove the battery from the unit.
This will increase the life of your trimmer.
2. After inserting battery, close battery
compartment and turn unit to ON position
(bottom of trimmer).
3. To trim your mustache, use the
mustache comb to comb hair in the
direction of growth. Hold trimmer in an
upright position and bring the tip of the
blade straight into the mustache to trim.
4. To clean the trimmer, turn unit to OFF
position. Using your thumb, press
upwards against the blade. This will make
it easy to clean, since head cover is on a
hinge. Brush or blow hair clippings from
the cutter blade.
5. Close head cover until you hear a
click. This trimmer works well on side-
burns & necks as well as goatees and
mustaches. It is not designed for
beards. Use clipper on full beards.

the date of purchase if the appliance is defec-
tive in workmanship or materials.

receipt and $3.00 for postage and handling.
California residents need only provide proof of pur-
chase and should call 1-800-366-0937 for shipping
instructions. In the absence of a purchase receipt,
the warranty period shall be 60 months from the
date of manufacture.

MANEJO DEL RECORTADOR
(Sólo en el modelo HCT426)
1. Para i
nsertar la pila, retire la tapa del
compartimiento de pilas girando la pieza
inferior del recortador hacia la izquierda y
luego en forma recta hacia abajo. Inserte
una pila alcalina AA, con el polo positivo
hacia arriba como se indica en la figura 1.
(Las pilas alcalinas le garantizarán un mejor
funcionamiento y prolongarán la vida útil de
su aparato). Si no va a usar su unidad por
un período largo de tiempo o si la pila está
descargada, quítela de la unidad. Esto
aumentará la vida útil de su recortador.
2. Luego de insertar la pila, cierre el com-
partimiento y encienda la unidad llevando el
interruptor a la posición ON (parte inferior
del aparato).
3. Para recortar su bigote use el peine para
bigotes para peinar el cabello en la direc-
ción de crecimiento. Sostenga el recortador
en posición vertical y lleve el filo de la hoja
en forma recta al bigote para recortar.
4. Para limpiar el recortador, lleve el inter-
ruptor a la posición OFF (apagado). Usando
su pulgar, presione hacia arriba en direc-
ción de la hoja. Esto facilitará la limpieza, ya
que la tapa del cabezal está sobre una bis-
agra. Cepille o sople los recortes de cabello
de la hoja cortante.
5. Cierre la tapa del cabezal hasta que
escuche un clic. Este recortador funciona
bien con las patillas y nucas así como tam-
bién con las barbas de chivo y bigotes. No
debe utilizarse con barbas. Use el cortador
para barbas completas.

Conair fabrica una variedad de accesorios para
diferentes equipos para cortar el cabello. Si su
