SHV1000 RECHARGEABLE ROTARY SHAVER LIMITED TWO-YEAR WARRANTY
(U.S. AND CANADA ONLY)
Conair will repair or replace (at our option) your
unit free of charge for 24 months from the date of
purchase if the appliance is defective in workman-
ship or materials.
To obtain service under this warranty, return the
defective product to the service center listed on
back, together with your purchase receipt and
$3.00 for postage and handling. California resi-
dents need only provide proof of purchase and
should call 1-800-3-CONAIR for shipping instruc-
tions. In the absence of a purchase receipt, the
warranty period shall be 24 months from the date
of manufacture.
ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, OBLIGATIONS, OR
LIABILITIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO
THE IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY
AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE,
SHALL BE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE
24-MONTH DURATION OF THIS WRITTEN,
LIMITED WARRANTY. Some states do not allow
limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts,
so the above limitations may not apply to you.
IN NO EVENT SHALL CONAIR BE LIABLE FOR
ANY SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL
DAMAGES FOR BREACH OF THIS OR ANY
OTHER WARRANTY, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED,
WHATSOEVER. Some states do not allow the
exclusion or limitation of special, incidental, or
consequential damages, so the above limitation
may not apply to you.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and
you may also have other rights, which vary from
state to state.

4. Leave head open for drying.
5. Align the spring hinge into the
slot at the back of the hair pocket
and press into place. Snap the
head assembly closed (see Fig. 7).
BATTERY REMOVAL
When your rechargeable shaver reaches the
end of its useful life, the Ni-Mh batteries must
be removed from the shaver and be recycled or
disposed of properly in accordance with your state
and local requirements. If this is not required by
law, you may elect to dispose of the shaver with
the batteries.
To remove the rechargeable battery:
1. Unplug the shaver.
2. Run shaver until motor stops.
3. Remove head from shaver (press release button
and pull head away from shaver body).
4. Using a small screwdriver, pry trimmer slide
switch from back of shaver (see Fig. 1).
5. Remove one screw
located under the trimmer
slide switch. Remove rear
cover and two screws
on the circuit board,
then from inner housing
to expose batteries. Pry
batteries free from circuit
board and cut wires
(see Fig. 2).
6. Dispose of batteries.
This device uses one of following types of
rechargeable batteries: nickel metal hydride (Ni-Mh),
nickel cadmium (Ni-Cd) or Lithium Ion (Li-Ion).
See included battery for indication of type.

Mantenimiento semanal:
1. Repita los pasos 1–3 de la
sección “Mantenimiento diario”.
2. Retire el cabezal, jalándolo
hacia arriba (Fig. 5). Ponga el
cuerpo de la afeitadora a un lado
para evitar mojarlo.
3. Enjuague el
cabezal en agua
corriente, quitando
cuidadosamente
los residuos en las
cuchillas internas
y externas (Fig. 6).
NUNCA sumerja el aparato en agua.
4. Deje el cabezal abierto para que se seque.
5. Haga coincidir la bisagra de
resorte con la hendidura en la
parte posterior del marco y
presione hasta que el cabezal
encaje. Vuelva a instalar el cabezal
(Fig. 7).
REMOCIÓN DE LAS BATERÍAS
Al final de la vida útil del aparato, las baterías
recargadas que contiene deben ser retiradas y
recicladas o tiradas según las regulaciones locales
y estatales. Nota: si la ley no requiere reciclar/tirar
las baterías por separado, puede reciclar/tirar el
aparato junto con ellas.
Para retirar las baterías recargables:
1. Desconecte la unidad.
2. Haga funcionar la afeitadora hasta que el motor
se apague.
3. Retire el cabezal, presionando el botón de
liberación y jalando el cabezal hacia arriba.
4. Usando un pequeño destornillador cruciforme,
levante la cubierta del botón de encendido/
apagado (Fig. 1).
5. Quite el tornillo ubicado
debajo del botón de
encendido/apagado. Abra
la carcasa y quite los
dos tornillos del circuito
impreso, y luego los
ubicados en el interior,
para exponer las baterías.
Separe las baterías del
circuito impreso y corte
los alambres (Fig. 2).
6. Tire/recicle las baterías.
Este aparato usa uno de los siguientes tipo de
batería: níquel e hidruro metálico (Ni-MH), níquel-
cadmio (Ni-Cad) o iones de litio (Li-Ion) (véase la
información acerca de la batería incluida).
