10. Unit is hot when in use. Do not let heated
surfaces touch eyes or skin.
11. Do not place the heated unit directly
on any surface while it is hot or
plugged in.
12. Never block the air openings of the appli-
ance or place on a soft surface such as
a bed or couch, where the air openings
may be blocked. Keep the air openings
free of hair, lint and other debris.
13. Do not use an extension cord to operate
appliance.
14. Do not touch hot surfaces of the appli-
ance. Use handles or knobs.
15. Do not attempt to touch the housing of
your appliance near the barrel, as it is
hot when in use.
16. Do not use with a voltage converter.
17. Before plugging in, read the inform
tion about dual voltage contained in the
Operating Instructions section of this
manual.

OPERATING
INSTRUCTIONS
This curling appliance is intended for
household use. Use on Alternating Current
(50/60 hertz) only. This unit is designed to be
operated at 120/240V AC.
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade
is wider than the other). As a safety feature,
this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one
way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet,
reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a
qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat
this safety feature.
DUAL VOLTAGE
This curling appliance will automatically adjust
to the proper voltage. Use an adapter plug with
correct configuration prior to use in outlet.
GETTING STARTED
The iron’s 30 temperature settings and Instant
Heat technology combine to provide styling
versatility for all hair textures. If you have fine
hair, a low temperature will provide the best
results. If you have thick, wavy or hard-to-curl
hair, keep the heat setting high. You can vary
the iron’s temperature according to your
particular need!
CURLING BASICS
1. Plug the curling iron cord into any house-
hold outlet (120/240V). Press the ON button.
The iron will heat up very quickly. To turn off,
press the OFF button (light will go off). Never
leave your curling iron on and unattended.
However, should you fail to turn the curling
iron off, it will shut itself off automatically
within 60 minutes at 60 Hz, 72 minutes at 50 Hz.
2. Section dry hair evenly, and comb each
section before winding. Pressing the automatic
curl release, place curling iron midway up the
hair section, then spread hair evenly between
spoon and barrel. Release automatic curl
release to hold hair in place. Gently slide curling
iron down to hair ends. To avoid crimped ends,
make sure they are securely wound under the
spoon in the direction of the desired curl.
Remember, always place the spoon above
the hair strand when making a curl you want
rolled under; place the spoon under the hair
strand when creating a flip style.
3. Wind the hair up as far as you want it
curled, being careful not to let the iron touch
the scalp. Hold in place for 8 to 12 seconds,
depending on the texture and length of your
hair. For tighter, bouncier curls, roll less hair.
For looser, free-flowing curls, roll more hair.
4. To remove curling iron, unwind the hair and
press the automatic curl release. To set the
curl, do not comb or brush curls until cool.

Este aparato ha sido diseñado para funcionar
con corriente de 120/240V AC.
El cable de este aparato está dotado de una
clavija polarizada (una pata es más ancha
que otra). Como medida de seguridad, se
podrá enchufar de una sola manera en la
toma de corriente polarizada. Si no entrara
en la toma de corriente, inviértala. Si aún no
entrara completamente, comuníquese con un
electricista. No intente ir en contra de esta
función de seguridad.
DOBLE VOLTAJE
Este aparato se adaptará automáticamente al
voltaje adecuado. Puede que sea necesario
emplear un adaptador de enchufes (no se incluye)
para utilizarlo fuera de los Estados Unidos.
FUNCIONAMIENTO BÁSICO
Este aparato ofrece 30 opciones de
temperatura, para todo tipo de cabello, y
calienta muy rápidamente. Si su cabello
es fino, le recomendamos que utilice un
nivel de temperatura bajo. Si su cabello
es espeso, grueso, ondulado o resistente,
le recomendamos que utilice un nivel de
temperatura alto. ¡Personalice la temperatura,
según su tipo de cabello!
FUNDAMENTOS DEL RIZADO
1. Conecte el aparato a una toma de corriente
de 120/240V. Oprima el botón ON. El aparato
calentará muy rápidamente. Para apagar el
aparato, oprima el botón de apagado OFF; el
indicador luminoso se apagará. Nunca
descuide ni abandone el aparato después de
encenderlo. Para su seguridad, el aparato se
apagará automáticamente después de
60
minutos (con corriente de 60 Hz) o 72 minutos
(con corriente de 50 Hz).
2. Divida el cabello seco en secciones
uniformes y peine cada sección. Abra la
tenaza, oprimiendo la manija. Coloque el
aparato a medio camino en una sección de
cabello y distribuya el cabello uniformemente
entre el tubo y la pinza. Suelte la manija
para sujetar el cabello. Deslice el aparato
suavemente hacia las puntas. Para evitar tener
las puntas encrespadas, asegúrese de que
estén firmemente posicionadas entre el tubo y
la pinza, en la dirección deseada.
Consejo: para rizar el cabello hacia dentro,
coloque el cabello debajo de la pinza. Para
rizar el cabello hacia fuera, coloque el cabello
encima de la pinza.
3. Enrolle el cabello hacia el cuero cabelludo,
sin permitir que el aparato haga contacto con
éste. Mantenga la tenaza cerrada durante
8–12 segundos, según la textura de su
cabello. Para obtener rizos más apretados y
elásticos, divida el cabello en secciones más
finas. Para obtener ondas más sueltas, enrolle
más cabello.
4. Desenrolle el cabello lentamente y oprima la
manija para soltarlo. Permita que el cabello se
enfríe antes de peinarlo para "fijar" los rizos.
