General
EverypersonworkingwiththeCondairGSmusthavereadandunderstoodtheinstallation,commis-
sioningandserviceinstructionsbeforecarryingoutanywork.
Knowingandunderstandingthecontentsoftheinstallation,commissioningandserviceinstructions
isabasicrequirementforprotectingthepersonnelagainstanykindofdanger,topreventfaultyop-
eration, and to operate the unit safely and correctly.
Iftheinformation intheseinstallation,commissioningandserviceinstructions isnotfol-
lowedexactly,areorexplosionmayresultcausingpropertydamage,personalinjuryor
loss of life.
All ideograms, signs and markings applied to the unit must be observed and kept in readable
state.
Qualicationofpersonnel
All actions described in the present Installation, commissioning and service instructions (commis-
sioning, operation, maintenance, etc.) must be carried out only by welltrainedandsufciently
qualiedpersonnelauthorisedbytheowner.
Forsafetyandwarrantyreasonsanyactionbeyondthescopeofthismanualsmustbecarriedout
onlybyqualiedpersonnelauthorisedbytheConairrepresentative.
ItisassumedthatallpersonsworkingwiththeCondairGSarefamiliarandcomplywiththeappropri-
ateregulationsonworksafetyandthepreventionofaccidents.
Intended use
ThegasredsteamhumidierCondairGSisintendedexclusivelyforhumidicationinventila-
tionsystemswithinthespeciedoperatingconditions.Anyothertypeofapplicationwithout
theexpresswrittenconsentofthemanufacturerisconsideredasnotconformingwiththeintended
purpose and may lead to the Condair GS becoming dangerous.
Operation of the equipment in the intended manner requires that all the information in these
installation, commissioning and service instructions is observed (in particular the safety
instructions).

TheCondairGSismainspowered.Onemaygetintouchwithlivepartswhentheunitis
open.Touchinglivepartsmaycausesevereinjuryordangertolife.
Prevention:beforecarryingoutanyworksettheCondairGSoutofoperationasdescribedin
chapter6.3(switchofftheunit,disconnectitfromthemainsandstopthewaterandgassupply)
andsecuretheunitagainstinadvertentpower-up.
