3.3 Default Settings
During power on initialization, the CT-536+ initializes all configuration attributes to
default values. It will then read the configuration profile from the Permanent
Storage section on the flash memory. The default attributes are overridden when
identical attributes with different values are configured. The configuration profile
in Permanent Storage can be created via the Web user interface, the console, or
telnet user interface, or other management protocols. The factory default
configuration can be restored either by pushing the reset button for more than five
seconds, or by clicking the Restore Default Configuration option in the Restore
Settings screen.
The following default settings are present when setting up the router for the first
time.
LAN port IP address: 192.168.1.1
Console port: 115200 bps
Local administrator account name: root
Local administrator account password: 12345
Local non- administrator account name: user
Local non- administrator account password: user
Remote WAN access: disabled
Remote WAN access account name: root
Remote WAN access account password: 12345
NAT and firewall: disabled
DHCP server on LAN interface: enable
WAN IP address: none
