4.4 Performing the Ethernet FTP Upload Procedure
Toproceedwiththefirmwareupdateprocedure,assumptionsaremadethat:
TheCDD880isconnectedtoausersupplied,WindowsbasedPC,and:
o ThePCserialportisconnectedtotheCDD880‘CONSOLE’port.
o ThePCEthernetportisconnectedtotheCDD880‘ETHERNET|TRAFFIC/
MANAGEMENT | GE’ 10/100/1000 BaseT Gigabit Ethernet port with a
usersuppliedhub,switch,ordirectEthernetcableconnection.
o The PC is running a terminal emulation program (for operation of the
CDD880SerialCommandLineInterface)andacompatibleWebbrowser
(foroperationoftheCDD880WebServerInterface).
The CDD880 Management IP Address has been noted using the CDD880
Serial Command Line Interface (CLI), and the firmware has been identified
usingeithertheCLIortheCDD880WebServerInterface‘Admin|Firmware’
page.
The latest firmware files have been downloaded or otherwise received from
ComtechEFDataandareavailableontheuserPCinanaccessibletempo rary
folder.
