Generally, it is recommended to congure the Ethernet port of an BRIC-Link II for a stac IP. This will facilitate
access to the with a browser and allow for easier conguraon of routers or rewalls (if
necessary). If the BRIC-Link II is to be installed on a managed LAN, Comrex recommends consulng with the IT
services provider about obtaining a stac IP address.
As menoned in the previous secon, the BRIC-Link II is congured for by default. This means that it tries to
extract an unused IP address from the network router upon boong. To change the Ethernet IP addressing to ,
select the “” locaon at the boom of the list and change the “” to . The system will prompt a
list of stac sengs as shown in (on the following page).
As can be seen in the stac IP address, the Netmask, the Gateway Address, and at least one DNS Server
Address must be congured in the proper elds to set a stac IP address. Once that informaon has been input,
click the “” buon and select to have the BRIC-Link II accept and acvate the new Ethernet
sengs. Note that if the IP sengs of the Ethernet port have been changed, the connecon to the
interface will no longer work. Click the “” buon on to re-sync with the new IP address.
