In some situaons, it might not be desirable for each codec in your eet to be able to see the Switchboard status of
every other codec. To help lter whats displayed on a codec’s interface, Switchboard has implemented ,
which can each contain a subset of your codec eet on your account. You can create mulple Contact Lists that consist
of dierent subsets. With the excepon of Shares (discussed below), only units within your Switchboard account may be
assigned to Contact Lists.
By default, Switchboard creates a master Contact List that contains all of the codecs in your account. Every codec in your
eet uses this list. If you’re not interested in segregang codecs on your account any further, this default Contact List
should be sucient.
Each unit also has the ability to Follow a Contact List; this is a view-only funcon that allows a codec to see the status and
presence of units in a Contact List. All units are set to Follow the master Contact List by default.
To Follow a Contact List on a codec, rst click on the “Details” buon for that codec on the main screen in Switchboard
(as shown below).
