Under most circumstances, NX requires an IP path in both direcons for successful connecons, even when audio is
being sent only one-way. For networks that provide data only in one direcon, it is possible to use Standard RTP mode to
establish and maintain these links. This secon describes how to set that up.
The following seng applies to both codecs in the link (encoder and decoder):
The codec has several compability modes under the Standard RTP channel mode. The units default to a mode that is
compable with the Luci Live PC-based encoder. This must be changed on both codecs.
1 On the ACCESS Rack, enter the Web-based Interface and choose the tab. On the
ACCESS NX, navigate to
2 Turn advanced opons on for both units.
3 Find and choose to edit the .
4 Change this seng to and click .
Also under , nd the entry. Disable the return channel and click
. This will make sure that no channel will be set up in the direcon to the encoder.
Obviously, connecons of this type must be established from the encoding side of the link. So you’ll need to build a new
Prole that uses the channel mode. Choose your outgoing encoder along with any other special aributes
in the prole editor. Name the Prole something descripve like “Simplex”.
Next, create your outgoing remote on themenu. Apply the new prole to that entry. Any
connecon made with that entry will connect in a unidireconal fashion.
A remote entry using a unidireconal prole can sll ulize the tools required for automac connecon.
To set up a connecon to be “always acve” (i.e. reconnect in the case of power outage or network failure), choose that
connecon on the tab as the locaon.
To trigger the connecon when an external contact is closed, choose the connecon under one of the
sengs on the menu.
