UltraSpec Analyzer Top Panel
RS232 Serial Port
• Provides for data communications between the UltraSpec analyzer
and the host computer, via the Model 639 Communications cable.
• Provides for connection to an external modem via the Model 705
Modem Kit. Provides for connection to an external printer via the
Model 720A Printer Interface; or to any printer supported by
MicroSoft Windows operating system via CSI’s Virprint program.
• Provides for connection to the Model 821510 Direct Connect Inter-
face.
• Provides for connection to the 8000RF Interface (radio frequency
interface box for laser system).
• Provides for connection to a variety of signal input devices.
Caution!
Do not connect any adapters or accessories to the RS232 serial port
while the analyzer is turned on.
Charger Input
• Provides an input for the Model 8211 or Model 8212 battery
chargers. In the UltraSpec 8000 analyzer, it provides an input for the
Model A2115-C battery charger. In the UltraSpec 8117 analyzer, it
provides an input for the Model 93140 power supply, 8211 battery
charger, or 8212 battery charger.
Power Output
• Provides power for the Model 404 series phototach.
Tach Signal Input
This connection is used to connect the cable from a TTL pulse generator,
typically a Model 404 series or 401B tachometer.
