Note

Select this option whether you are replacing the base ﬁrmware

loading an application or program.

The following screen will be displayed.

Loading Firmware

Caution!

Reloading ﬁrmware in an UltraSpec 8000 analyzer may reset calibra-

tion factors. Always review calibration factors after loading ﬁrmware

to verify the settings are the same as in the factory supplied calibration

card. Refer to “Review Calibration” for information about calibrating

the UltraSpec analyzer.

There may be up to a 20-30 seconds pause before loading begins. After the

ﬁrmware has been loaded, a list of application programs to be loaded will

be shown (if available on the same diskette). An error message will appear

if no application programs are located.

10. · If the error message occurred, insert the Application Diskette into the

computer’s drive A (or B). On the analyzer, press the Reset/Main

key. Otherwise, go directly to Step 11.
