CHROMOPHARE® D 650plus, D 530plus, D 500plus, D 650, D 530, D 500 Service Manual (E)
Attention:
For correct bulb voltage setting please notice!
If the light intensity power circuit board is installed in separate wall box please take also the voltage drop of the
cable into consideration.
If the terminal voltage under load on the ceiling tube is higher than 24.5 V D.C. (main or supplementary supply),
an electronically alignment must be done. The reason for this is an exceeding of the allowed halogen lamp tension
(set-point 22.0 V +/- 0.2 V A.C./D.C.) because of the electronically aligned terminal voltage of 24.0 V. Changes
of the terminal voltage are not controlled and therefore affect the halogen lamp tension (life time, illumination).
If the terminal voltage under load on the ceiling tube is higher than 2.0 V D.C., the halogen lamp tension cannot
be aligned to the maximum allowed set-point.
The electronically alignment has first to be effected with emergency supply (D.C.). In this way, changes in the
illumination can be excluded. After having aligned, the main supply must be adjusted accordingly via transformer
taps.
How to proceed the D.C. alignment:
1. Switch on the emergency supply.
2. Switch on the light.
3. Measuring of the terminal voltage on the ceiling terminal (set-point 24.0 V D.C. under load).
4. Terminal voltage = 24.0 V D.C. (+0.3 V tolerance): no electronic alignment is necessary.
5. Terminal voltage > 24.3 V D.C.: adjusting of the halogen lamp tension to 22.2 V A.C./D.C. (+0.3 V tolerance)
on the measuring point „reflector connection“ on the back of the key board through adjustable resistor R 20 (see
page 65, the original boards are without component printing). As another measuring point, the terminals of the
power board X 1/2 and X 1/4 (part no. 65604) can be used. The alignment value through adjustable resistor R 20
on this measuring points amounts to 22.6 V A.C./D.C. (+0.3 V tolerance). Because of the voltage drop, the halo-
gen lamp tension amounts to 22.0 V A.C./D.C. (+0.3 V tolerance) at D 650 and 22.8 V A.C./D.C. (+0.3 V toler-
ance) at D 650plus, D 530plus, D 530.
6. End of alignment respectively beginning of the transformer adjustment, see page 36.
