Gefen Hi Denition Digital Signage Player (DSP)

The Gefen Digital Signage Creator (DSC) product provides innite

possibilities to digital signage designers. Based on an SVG (Scaled

Vector Graphics) design and web template concepts, this compact

product is limited only by the creativity and imagination of its user. The

Digital Signage Director (DSD) software that comes with the DSC unit is

exible, easy to use, and allows control over every aspect of the player’s

behavior. Importable content includes not only simple video and audio

les, but RSS feeds for news, weather, public announcements and

live video streams. Scheduling of playlists and management of all the

timing functions are also included with native support for iCal.

The unit’s built-in web server grants direct access to any licensed

user for the manipulation of each individual feature and advanced

congurations. Output resolutions are supported up to 720p (1280x720)

with both VGA and HDMI outputs. Two channel analog audio is also supported for connection to an external amplied audio

device. The sleek form factor will allow placement of each unit behind the display or concealed nearby.

An integrated USB 2.0 port can be utilized for additional storage space or the usage of interactive touch screens and mice. By

attaching a USB ash drive or external HDD the available storage is enlarged automatically by the operating system. Scheduling

updates can be automatically enabled, allowing the unit to pull a new schedule from a LAN or WAN source at specied intervals

for a completely maintenance-free solution. Simply create a new schedule and upload it to the location that each unit will

search for when looking for updates. Advanced functions are available, such as RS-232 control of external devices and multi-

screen video wall distribution.

Gefen HD Digital Signage Player is a

media player that is able to play back

multiple high resolution A/V formats allowing connections to standard displays.

The Player comes with mounting brackets for secure installation behind the display or on the wall using the built-in side slots.

The HDMI or VGA output supports video content to 1080p within a single cable. If audio needs to be routed to an external audio

amplier or listening device, the Digital Signage Player also features a 3.5mm mini-Stereo analog output. High-denition signal

output provides excellent detail and signal delity for digital signage applications.

Content needs to be edited on a separate system (such as a computer) as this unit is a player solution only. Using the included

software suite, content can be scheduled into a playlist. Playlists can be created in a matter of minutes. Content is transferred

over IP to the internal memory. User-created playlists are supported and can contain multiple digital signage le formats such as

audio les, video les, scrolling text messages, and background images. This content can be set to play individually or combined

for playback at dierent times of the day, week, or month. Landscape and portrait-style displays are supported. 2GB of built-in
