Compool Load Center (with breaker sub-panel)
To upgrade the Compool/EasyTouch control panel in a Compool load center (with breaker sub-panel), requires
temporary removal of the existing transformer to allow the removal of the Compool control panel from the load
center and the installation of the Compool/EasyTouch control panel.
To upgrade the Compool/EasyTouch control panel in a Compool load center (with breaker sub-panel), requires
removal and reinstallation of the existing transformer. Note: To upgrade Compool TimeMaster, CP/LX100,
CP1000, CP2000 models requires Compool/EasyTouch control panel upgrade kit with transformer P/N
521247). Otherwise CP3xxx systems require P/N 521107. The new transformer (3 wires) supplies the correct
power for the EasyTouch circuit board. Remove the old transformer along with the attached terminal block and
wires and discard. The transformer can be configured for 115 VAC or 230 VAC input power (as shown on page
75).
To remove the Compool control panel and transformer assembly:
1. Unlatch the Compool power center front door and open the door.
2. Loosen the control panel retaining screw and open the control panel into its widest position.
3. Remove the four (4) screws securing the transformer assembly. Save the screws for reinstallation.
Leave the transformer assembly in place.
4. Open the control panel/face plate to its widest position.
3. Disconnect all connectors from the Compool circuit board. For connector locations, see “Compool
Circuit board Wiring Diagram” on page 77. Note: If the Compool load center has a time clock
installed (TimeMaster/CP100 models) in the top of the Compool control panel, remove the three
screws securing the time clock and remove the time clock. This allows access to the Compool
transformer bracket (see illustration on page 73).
4. To remove the Compool control panel from the load center; while holding the transformer, carefully
lift up the control panel/face plate and release it from its two hinges. Remove it from the load center.
Switch the main AC power OFF to the Compool load center
