Compool/EasyTouch Pool and Spa Control System Upgrade Installation and User’s Guide
To install the Compool/EasyTouch upgrade control panel (see illustration on page 69):
1. Mount the Compool/EasyTouch control panel/face plate on the power center hinges.
2. Connect all the necessary connectors to the EasyTouch circuit board. For connector locations, see
“Compool/EasyTouch Upgrade Circuit board Wiring Diagram” on page 76.
3. Close the control panel/face plate and tighten the retaining screw.
4. Close the front door and the latch.
Switch the main AC power OFF to the Compool power center
Installing Compool/EasyTouch Upgrade Control Panel
(with or without Transformer Kit)
The following procedure describes how to install the Compool/EasyTouch upgrade control panel (with or
without the transformer kit) in a Compool power center (without breaker sub-panel). For Compool/EasyTouch
upgrade control panel (with or without the transformer kit) in a Compool load center (with breaker sub-panel),
see page 70.
Compool Power Center (without sub-panel)
For Compool CP2000 and older systems the existing transformer is removed and replaced with the
Compool/EasyTouch Upgrade with Transformer Kit (TimeMaster, CP/LX100, CP1000, CP2000) P/N 521247.
Otherwise, CP3xxx systems require P/N 521107. See page 72. The new transformer (3 wires) supplies the
correct power for the EasyTouch circuit board. Remove the old transformer along with the attached terminal
block and wires and discard. The transformer can be configured for 115 VAC or 230 VAC input power (as
shown on page 71).
To remove the Compool control panel (see illustration on page 69):
1. Unlatch the Compool power center front door and open the door (illustration below shows door
removed).
2. Loosen the control panel retaining screw and open the control panel.
3. Disconnect all connectors from the Compool circuit board. For connector locations, see “Compool
Circuit board Wiring Diagram” on page 77.
4. To remove the control panel from the power center, open the control panel/face plate to the widest
position then lift up the control panel/face plate to release it from its two hinges.
5. To install the Compool/EasyTouch Upgrade Control Panel, see instructions below.
6. To remove and replace the existing Compool transformer, see instructions on page 70.

This equipment must be installed by a licensed or certified electrician or a qualified
pool service professional in accordance with the National Electrical Code and all
applicable local codes and ordinances. Improper installation will create an electrical
hazard which could result in death or serious injury to pool users, installers, or others
due to electrical shock, and may also cause damage to property.
