Macintosh Configuration 6-3
5. Some, but not all, of the printer options can be automatically detected by the
driver. Select installed options as necessary and confirm that the list of installed
options matches the printer configuration. Click on OK. This completes Macin-
tosh printing configuration.
6.4 Using KyoManage
If the Macintosh is using the TCP/IP protocol, it is possible to manage the EcoLAN
3000E from a standard web browser as explained in Chapter 3. Before connecting to
the 3000E with a web browser, the 3000E must have an IP address assigned.
The IP address may be assigned using the printer front panel, see Section 8.1, or
remotely using a utility called KyoManage. KyoManage also offers an alternative to
using a web browser for changing the printer name. KyoManage is included on the
CD packaged with the 3000E.
The KyoManage program is located in the KYOMNG folder on the CD. Copy the
KYOMNG folder to the desired location on your Macintosh. Use the following
procedure to set the 3000E IP address and/or rename the printer:
1. In the KYOMNG folder, Open KyoManage.
2. Select the Zone which contains the 3000E, highlight the desired Kyocera printer
and click on Select.
3. Set the 3000E Printer Name.
3.1 Open the LAN Printer Server menu and select Configuration to display the
following screen:
