ISU 128 ISDN Terminal Adapter
The ADTRAN ISU 128 is a standalone ISDN service unit that connects
data terminal equipment to the ISDN network. The ISU 128 includes NT1
network termination and terminal adapter functionality. The unit can be
viewed as an ISDN modem that is well suited for LAN/WAN connectivity
and other applications where large data transfers are necessary at high
speed rates up to 128 kbps. Synchronous data transfer rates from 2400
bps to 128 kbps and asynchronous rates from 300 bps to 115.2 kbps are
supported through a V.35, EIA-232 or RS-530 interface.

ISU 512 ISDN Inverse Multiplexer
The ADTRAN ISU 512 is a standalone ISDN Service Unit that connects
data terminal equipment (DTE) to the ISDN network. The ISU 512 is
specifically designed as a low-cost solution for applications such as video-
conferencing, T1 backup, LAN/WAN connectivity, and high-speed file
transfer. The ISU 512 may utilize either the V.35 or RS-530 DTE interface
and supports synchronous data rates from 56 kbps to 512 kbps. At rates
over 64 kbps, the BONDING Mode 1 inverse multiplexing protocol
synchronizes data using from one to eight 64 kbps B channels. By
supporting BONDING
the ISU 512 interoper-
ates with other
BONDING-compatible
inverse multiplexers
and ISDN terminal
adapters.

ISU 2X64 Dual Port Terminal Adapter
The ISU 2x64 is a dual port version of the ISU 128. It is available with or
without an integrated NT1. The ISU 2x64 can be viewed as a dual ISDN
modem that simultane-
ously and independent-
ly supports two applica-
tions at up to 64 kbps on
each DTE interface.
The ISU 2x64 is ideal
for video and audio
transmission as well as
a cost-effective modem
replacement. The ISU
2x64 provides dual RS 530/EIA-232 DTE interfaces. An RS-530-to-V.35
adapter is available to support V.35 DTE interfaces. Synchronous data
transfer rates from 2400 bps to 64 kbps and asynchronous rates from 300
bps to 57.6 kbps are supported when using dual DTE interfaces.
