R2Adapter™
The R2Adapter™ is a line of signaling adapter appliances designed
for fast, easy, low-cost integration into carrier networks and vendor
equipment. Using existing technology based on the proven
FastComm SignalPath™ 201 Signaling Gateway, the R2Adapters
allow traditional IP PBX vendors to penetrate international markets
where the need for protocol conversion between disparate networks
is greatest. The R2Adapter is equipped to handle multiple country-
specific R2 variants world wide by enabling interoperability between
PTT and carrier R2 networks and the ETSI ISDN trunk interfaces on
the customers' equipment.
Simple to use, quick to deploy, the small footprint R2Adapter is
capable of carrying traffic over a single E1 trunk. The R2Adapter is
particularly attractive to vendors who are planning on boosting their
revenues by introducing new products into countries such as Mexico,
Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, Costa Rica, Venezuela, Paraguay,
Uruguay, China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand,
Singapore, Philippines, Israel, New Zealand, Korea, Greece, Kuwait,
and others.
One country can have up to six or seven different variants of R2
simultaneously in use within its networks. The R2Adapter breaks
down the communication barriers presented by these different
protocols and adapts the flow of information across any network.
The R2Adapter features a compact 1U height designed for budgeted
space, with a streamlined capacity of one E1 interface for fast, easy
deployment.

R2Adapter™
SignalPath™ 201-SA Universal Signaling Adapter
The SP201-SA, a member of the SignalPath™ Signaling Gateway
product line, addresses the need for a low-cost product that is univer-
sally compatible with most enterprise and customer premise PBXs, IP-
PBXs, IP video conferencing, media gateways, and multi-service
access devices. The compact SP201-SA desktop unit, which supports
CAS (R1, R2, DTMF) and ETSI and NI2 ISDN, is capable of carrying
traffic over T1/E1 trunks via standard BNC or RJ48 connections.
The SP201-SA was developed as a PBX solution for both carrier and
enterprise customers. With its low cost, expanded feature set, and
small footprint, the SP201-SA will attract the business of enterprise
Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) vendors who want to establish
ISDN to legacy protocol network connections in regions they are
currently unable to service due to deficiencies in their networks' signal-
ing capabilities.
