SRM Series of Miniature Short Haul Modems
The SRM short haul modems offer
a simple, low cost, and highly
reliable method to connect digital
devices in a local, campus or
metropolitan environment. SRM
short haul modems connect
computers, terminals, Bridges,
Routers and similar data
communications devices inside
buildings, campuses or within city
boundaries. They support simple
point to point communications or
very complex multipoint campus-
wide systems. These units are normally powered by the electrical interface
they attach to, requiring no AC power. Data Rates are up to 128Kbps. Link
Interfaces are Twisted pair, Coax or Fiber. The SRM series is also available in
High Density Chassis systems. Some of the electrical Interfaces they extend

ASM Series of Short Range Modems and “Last Mile” Access
The ASM short haul modems connect digital devices in a local, campus or
metropolitan environment similar to the SRM family, but provide expanded
capabilities and distance. ASM short range modems connect Computers,
Terminals, Bridges, Routers and similar data communications devices inside
buildings, campuses or within city boundaries. They support simple point to
point communications or very complex multipoint campus-wide systems. Data
Rates are up to 2 Mbps. SNMP management is available on most models. Link
Interfaces are Twisted pair, Coax or Fiber. The ASM series is also available in
a High Density Chassis system. Some of the electrical Interfaces they extend
