Secure Path for Active-Active disk arrays uses the p hysical paths to an end device. HP-UX sees the
alternate paths as actual device les. You can view and access these paths.

For a device congured under LVM, if the LVM primary p ath fails, then Secure Path fails over to an
alternate path and continues p rocessing the I/O until the primary p ath is restored. When the primary
path is restored, I/O resumes on the L VM primary path.
