. To reduce the risk of personal injury, electric shock,
fire, or damage to the equipment:
■ Do not disable the power cord grounding plug. It is an important
safety feature.
■ Plug the power cord into a grounded (earthed) electrical outlet
that is easily accessible at all times.
■ Do not place anything on power cords or cables. Arrange them
so that no one can accidentally step on or trip over them.
■ Disconnect power from the equipment by unplugging the power
cord from the electrical outlet.
■ Do not pull on a cord or cable. When unplugging from the
electrical outlet, grasp the cord by the plug.
Confirming Hibernation Settings
Hibernation is enabled at the factory, and Compaq recommends
that you do not disable Hibernation. To verify that Hibernation is
enabled:
■ In Windows 2000 Professional, select Start > Settings >
Control Panel > Power Options icon > Hibernate tab. Make
sure that the Enable Hibernate Support check box is selected.
■ In Windows XP, select Start > Control Panel > Performance
and Maintenance icon> Power Options icon > Hibernate tab.
Make sure that the Enable Hibernation check box is selected.
